Correct distorted images
PTLens is an excellent application to correct or add distortion to your pictures.
You'll be able to apply a fish eye effect, modify perspective, chromatic aberation and vignetting.
PTLens also lets you correct barrel-pincushion distortion on a wide range of camera models. It doesn't seem to allow you to add new models though.
Adding effects is really easy thanks to sliders and you can immediately see the changes in the preview. You can also simply disable an effect you don't want by unselecting it.
The program's interface does feel a little clunky, and you wonder why the directory is on the right, instead of next to the preview. We appreciate that a Photoshop plugin for PTLens comes in the installer though, as many photographers prefer working straight in Photoshop.
The plugin will work exactly as the standalone application.
Despite the slightly unintuitive interface, PTLens is an excellent tool for correcting image distortion.Command-line interface and inverse correction implemented.

Fantastic!.
I love this plug-in. Very easy to use. I take a lot of architectural photos while traveling, and PTLens makes it easy to correct lens distortions. No more leaning towers except in Pisa! Also, it was great to do business with the licensor of this product. I had difficulty installing the license and contacted him. He emailed me several times with assistance and then refunded me when he thought I was unsuccessful. I emailed him right away to say it was now working, and he refused to charge me. Pretty classy. Unfair! You knew trying it would mean I HAD TO HAVE IT..
Wow! Good marketing technique. You knew if I used it I would have to have it. Excellent!!! I'm ordering it now. I've been looking at other software all morning. Wish I had come here first. Great value.
Pros:
Very intuitive. I guess you could benefit from instructions, but not required. Responsive real time feedback cinches it. Power and simplicity at its best. Cons:
Didn't have my Sigma 10-20mm modeled. At least it didn't appear to unless I'm doing something wrong.

An absolute must-have utility for product photography, close-ups and more.
I am an editor/publisher and do a lot of product photography. Which means close-ups, and dealing with the ever-present barrel distortion present in even good cameras, such as the Canon G10 that I mostly use. PTLens fixes all that barrel distortion, and also lets you "fix" horizontal or vertical perspective distortion. There's a handy grid to line things up, and it usually takes just a minute or so to convert an embarrassingly distorted image into a winner. As if that weren't enough, PTLens also easily lets you fix the dreaded "purple fringe" still present in many images, and you can also play with fisheye distortion or vignetting. If you need this functionality, the US$25 it costs is a huge, giant bargain as PTLens can save tons of time and effort in getting pictures up to par. I am surprised Canon or Nikon or the whole lot haven't bought or licensed this gem of a utility yet.
Pros:
Terrific functionality
Super-easy to use
A total bargain
Very flexible
Cons:
Your camera or lens may not be supported (but author creates new ones based on images submitted by users) More
